Each Sacrament has an Information Evening for the parents of the candidates, which is held in St Michael’s Church. You will be asked to complete an application form, and return it to the Parish Office with payment to enrol for each Sacrament.
Reconciliation candidates are required to show proof of Baptism by providing a copy of their Baptism Certificate (unless they were baptised at St Michael's, Lane Cove). First Holy Communion candidates must have already received the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Confirmation candidates should have received both Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
The candidates are also presented to the Parish at one of our weekend Masses, where they will be blessed by our community. Candidates attend 3 x 50 minute instruction group lessons (2 x 50 min for Reconciliation) after school as part of their preparation with our Sacramental Co-ordinator. First Holy Communion and Confirmation candidates also attend a separate Liturgy rehearsal. Candidates are presented with a Certificate for each Sacrament they
receive.
